Castrating Calfs

This is a young bull calf, soon to be a steer. Ken put me straight to work when I got to his property. So after 3 hours of driving I helped (willingly) castrate four calfs. It was hard work. Jamie Louise (right of picture) ate all the offcuts: 8 testicles in all.

Now I am pretty tired. Roast lamb and a few glasses of wine should help me get to sleep.
