More Cattle
This is what I got for holding onto a jagged fence while helping with some cattle work. I pushed a calf toward the calf crush and at the last minute it backed up. They are strong animals. I had my hand on the fence and this is the result. My own fault of course but at the time it really hurt. I kept my mouth shut because we had a bull calf in the crush that needed castrating. By the time we were finished the cut was full of hair and grime. Yuk!
During the course of the morning I got peed and shat on by that many calfs that the cut on my hand paled into insignificance. I should have blipped my work pants. Eeeew! Just pushing each calf through the race ended up with another brown streak down my the front of my pants.
To complain about it makes me sound like a city slicker which is exactly what I have become nowadays. I am not complaining though, I really enjoyed myself. It was hard, hard work. The hardest part was trying to interpret Kens instructions but we got there eventually.
After all those adventures I showered and then went and did some Christmas shopping at the weekend markets in Stanthorpe. Now I need some wrapping paper.
