A run at the beach

Today we headed over to Sumner for brunch and a run at the beach.

Brunch was lovely - we stopped at a cafe with beach/sea views and the kids behaved perfectly.

Unfortunately, the wind was a little cold to spend to much time, but we had a good run around. CJ loved drawing patterns and lines in the sand with driftwood but I think the race around the driftwood sculpture with S2 and LJ was his favourite activity.

The run on the beach wore the boys out, which was good as Nan Be and GD were babysitting while S2 and I headed to a build'n'sip night at the Lego imagination station in town. It was great to have a couple of hours out, with just the adults.
