Year of the Monkey

We are in the last few days of cousin Niwah's visit with us, and today we planned to do some last minute shopping in town.

First off, a visit by new friends Sharon and Mike, new DB residents in our neighbourhood. They came over for coffee and it was really good getting to know them and share what life in DB/HK is like.

Then headed to town and met up with the man for lunch, which is always a treat. Niwah joined later and we both went shopping for a bit in Central and the Lanes.

It's been good to have family visit and I shall miss her company and the D&M conversations and sharing our lives/the DB community/Hong Kong with her.

This bamboo installation is the CNY (Chinese New Year) display at the IFC. This new CNY is the year of the monkey, hence the illuminated monkeys, not pandas(!) in the bamboo. Go figure!
