A Palace a Day

Today I drove out to Scheissheim Palace, about 12 km outside of Munich. Snow flurries when I arrived. If you don't have blue skies and pretty clouds for your picture, I guess snow flurries are a good alternative. (You see the snow flakes when you enlarge.) This is another one of Munich's Baroque gems. The original plans, which were much more grandiose, were never completed. I suppose in times when rulers were thought to represent God's will, nothing was big enough.

In the extras is a picture of the entry hall  and stairway of Schleissheim Palace and another of the view from the palace to the park and Lustheim, a hunting lodge and garden palace.
