Long walk

Have a couple of extra dogs for the weekend. My friends are getting away as a whole family so asked me to look after their most troublesome dogs so the smallholding sitter would find it a bit easier. They are Bran and Moss's sister Bonny the collie and Tess the Kelpie. They are both working sheepdogs. Bonny is just as lovely as Bran and if they wouldn't notice I would just keep her. Tess is a little more trouble. She has been down for a couple of sessions with me before as she is nervous aggressive with other dogs. All our dogs just ignore her silly behaviour apart from Breagh who really cant tolerate it and is also a nervous aggressive to other dogs dog. They had a little squabble last night and have decided to tolerate each other but not in too close proximity! I took them all (11dogs) for a big long walk this morning to help them to get to know each other and to run off some of the nervous energy. After about 20 minutes they all just settled down to being a big group of dogs on the move exploring and having fun and playing. Sooo much subtle communication between them it was fascinating to watch and be part of. As you can see we even had sun. Dris had disappeared into the ruin for a nosey when we had a quick photo shoot.
