Calm before the storm

An amusing start observing the horrors of missing spare tyres and other riveting American news stories, a very successful shopping trip, twirling around in changing rooms, whizzing through revolving doors, getting lost and finding our way, pizza pie for lunch, hunting down the impossible dress, making new friends while buying much needed hats, having Saks Fifth Avenue stay open late just for us, some very, very special shoes, fantastic New York cabbie restaurant recommendation, inelegant eating of famous soup dumplings, having more food than we can possibly eat and cocktails in the snow on the roof terrace.

We did New York quite well today.

Just as well, as apparently a state of emergency has been declared for tomorrow...
