So - we sat and we thunk.
Stores which we could remember & ignoring a couple of dedicated Green-Grocers, The Polish Shop (No mate, this time it is a Nationality & NOT an instruction) etc...

Coming into town on the A6 from the North there is a garage on each side of the road both with small stores attached, one larger than t'other.

Coming in to town on the A6 from the South there is a garage on each side of the road both with a few "Staples" besides Fags, sweets & drinks & a B&M where B&Q used to be (Not to mention the B&M on the main drag) .

Ullswater Road garage has a reasonable mini market attached, including off-licence. Aldi & Iceland up on Ullswater road, with Cranston's Food Hall at other end of Ullswater Rd,

Then we have our Local Co-op, a Spar, town centre(ish), with Booth's & Morrison's facing one another on Brunswick road.

Marks & Spencer have just re-opened what used to be the "Other (National) Co-op".

I have no doubt "somebody" will now say "What about X, Y, & Z.

"Any more for the Skylark?"

And, speaking of M&S, how's THIS for a colourful staff-member?
