umm...
I think I got the gearing a bit wrong. It was fine on the test trundle last night and fine on the way in into the rain-weighted wind up Leith Walk but I couldn't go at the speed I like to go at along Morrison Street to dissuade taxis from overtaking as I cross the tram tracks without spinning a little. I chose a careful gradually-sloping route home and stuck in a cog with three fewer teeth (and the freewheel with only two fewer teeth on the other side) to see of it's worth the better maximal speed at the expense of probably having to stand up a bit for hill starts.
