To A Haggis

"Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o' the puddin'-race!"

Today is Burns Day.
A day when Scots throughout the world celebrate the life and works of poet Robert Burns.
Many people take part in a Burns Supper when the main dish on offer is haggis, accompanied by chappit neeps and tatties.
The haggis is a very shy creature and is rarely seen in daylight.
I was very fortunate to see this one hiding in the undergrowth when walking the dogs this morning.
They are very difficult to catch as they have three legs, enabling them to make a quick getaway up the hillsides.
Here  is a lovely song for today.
