Canal Holiday day 6

Cannot get onto the river Severn. It has risen about 9 foot and is on red alert.
The blip is at the bottom lock at Stourport Basin and the Red Warning scale advises me not to proceed! Who a I to argue. Suspect it may be a few days before the river is open again. Hoping to cruise to Stratford On Avon next weekend.
