Staffs and Worcester Canal

Ali doing a very skillful approach to Botterham two-step staircase lock on the way to Wombourn. Total depth is 20 foot which needs a lot of water to get us through. It was very hot today and we had to take a breather at a canalside pub called 'Round Oak'. Very refreshed after a couple of pints of brown ale, 2 halves of cider, a huge sandwich and chips! Moored up for the night a Wightwick and looking forward to a meal at 'The Mermaid'. Did 9 locks and cruised for 5 hours today.
Great win for Sir Andy Murray last night. I am sure everyone in Swindon heard us!
