Crathes Castle Garden
No rain today thankfully. We went to the Raemoir Garden Centre for a coffee and then on to Crathes Castle to check on the garden.
The garden recently celebrated 60 years since it was taken over by the National Trust. It was about two months since we were last there, and we expected it would have changed quite a lot. The bushes had grown considerably and everything was very lush and green. The flowers however had obviously taken quite a battering from the recent rain and bad weather.
The corner of the garden shown is usually very colourful in summer. Although it is still attractive it seems a little less colourful than in previous years. If we get a spell of good weather we will have to go back for another look.
