Fencing detail

Part of the fence around St Phillips School, off Chapel Street. I guess that these finial details were cast on figures made  by the kids, perhaps in clay. This fence has been here for some time, so those little kids could be in their 30's  now. In fact - it would be nice to think - some could even have bought into the rather good apartment/town house development that has been built to the front of the school.

I have been practicing aperture this weekend, but didn't have my big camera with me today. This would have benefited from better depth of field (I will have to find out how to do this on my small camera, it is a lot fiddlier).
