Thursday: Djakovo Stud Farm

We had a few more meetings in Osijek before heading back to Zagreb. One of these was to the stud farm in Djakovo. They have been breeding Lippizaner horses since 1506, making it one of the oldest stud farms in Europe. These three chaps worked there.

From there, we went to a 'zadruge', in essence, a communal farm. The special fact, though, is that those farming are war veterans from the Homeland War, and these 'zadruges' are a form of rehabilitation, which has proved to be quite effective.

So, all in all, an interesting and varied day.
