Noosa wild life
Managed to watch quite a bit of the tennis last night, in between snoozes. It was about 2am, so no need for the One Fifty Lashes beer. I never lie in bed and drink beer.
A leisurely start to the day, then took a drive to Noosa Heads. We have swapped cars, too. We've got a lovely automatic Ford Focus, but our house swappers only have a wee manual Peugeot. Still, it's better than hiring a car.
The whole place is new and modern and well kept. When you come from an old European city with potholes, scaffolding, traffic diversions and road diggings up everywhere, it's a pleasure to drive here.
My blip is of a bush turkey. They're very cheeky, no fear of people or cars. I saw this one ambling across the street. It also shows the amazing fig trees. These ones are small, but the ones at the playground the other day in Brisbane were huge, ideal for kids to climb in and out and around the branches. You can also see how well kept everything is.
Things I love about Oz/Noosa:
No litter
Friendly efficient service everywhere
Great coffee
Wonderful menus
NO chewing gum on the pavements!
