Diary of an Edinburgher

Happy locals!

A spot of browsing blip in bed, listening to the birds, before nipping down to a nearby shopping centre for some supplies for lunch. Marvellous supermarket!

Our Kiwi pals arrived at midday, and we had a long lunch before heading off for a drive round the area. It rained quite a bit today, but it was warm. The river didn't look blue, calm and lovely, but was a bit murky and choppy, and there was no beautiful sunset.

My blip today is of a couple of locals. Locals all seem happy, and are always ready for a chat. I met Jean in the supermarket as she was whizzing along on her wee go kart thingie. You might spot a wee broken bit on the front of her mudguard - she was most annoyed at bumping into her fridge in the garage while parking. (They often have a fridge for drinks in their garage). She was very cheerful, and had everything she needed within easy reach of her house. I think it must be easier to be old in a warm country than in a cold country!

The other local is James, who runs the boat hire in Noosa. What a charming chap- we shall be seeing more of him, but maybe not this week. He assures us the boat cannot tip over, and no experience is necessary. Also, that the weather will be back to normal blue skies next week. Just as well we have five of them!

I have just emailed this nine times! Each time I get an email back saying there is no date on the photos, so I email the date, and then they say there is no image. Hopefully using the blipfoto app will work!!! Otherwise I give up.
