Storm Bound
I had a long call last night with our client for today's project. His urgency for his survey data was such that there was almost a sense of denial about the forecast for this morning. My concerns were for personal safety and that of expensive tripod mounted measurement kit on a an extremely remote mountain site. In the end I took the decision to abort the mission autonomously. Shortly after seven this morning I learned that our road to site was in any case closed by a land slide.
The enforced absence from work allowed a morning walk in the storm.
The rest of the day hasn't happened yet. Just had a call from police station that a citation (for Monday) I had as a witness to a traffic violation has been withdrawn as there has been a last minute change of plea. At least I will get back to work.
