The Tourist Attraction
After The Crash in 2008 my bank (a saving bank) was no more as it had fallen into the hands of crooks who robbed it from the inside (they must have read this book), like many banks in Iceland. A new bank with an old name took over and it is in the farthest end of Reykjavik from where I live, but I had to go there this morning to talk to my adviser - her name is Friðborg which means Peac-City and I like her very much as she has done everything she can to help me through the crisis.
On the way back home I drove by the seaside and saw a lot of tourists on the way so I stopped for a second at this tourist attraction and took three pictures of which this one was the best. The small white doll in my window is for giving money to help rehabilitate alcoholics .
The sculpture's name is The Sunship by Jón Gunnar Árnason (f.1931 d.1989) Google: solfarid to see a lot of pictures of it .
