Room

We spent a fair amount of today watching screens. First there was the recording of Murray's semifinal against the Canadian Raonic which we watched part of before walking into town to the Picture House to see Room; a harrowing, but extremely well performed, film about a mother, and her five year old child, that had been kept prisoner in a garden shed for seven years. Ann nearly walked out as she was quite distressed in places.

After, we went to Nero to recover over a cup of coffee, it was pouring with rain by then, then back home where I made a byriani with the left over butternut squash and cauliflower curry we had earlier in the week.

The next hour or so we watched the remainder of the tennis match where Murray won in the fifth set. The final is on Sunday.
