Tap, Tap Tap

It is Saturday!  I am fortunate to have an occupation that gives me the weekends off to explore (and to do some house chores...).  It is also wonderful to have children who are young adults now which gives me the freedom to fill my cup of happiness by spending long days out walking, exploring, taking photos.
This lovely little male Downy was ultra-friendly. He landed on me briefly but then returned to the tree to begin tapping for food again.  Lots of Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers here and one elusive Red-Bellied who I see often but rarely stays low enough for me to get a clear shot.  Maybe tomorrow...or later today.
