Blipping Dedication

The covering of snow on the Meadows outside the Dower House windows this morning resembled so much a vast 1ply Shetland shawl laid over the ground. It was scant in quantity but having been borne in horizontally on a west wind, outlined the trees so beautifully that there was nothing for it but to leave my lonely oatcake on the plate and get out and capture the scene.
This illustrates the life of a dedicated blipper so well, the fact that she can forgo her breakfast to venture forth into the icy dawn to blip some flipping trees.

Since then we have had beautiful sunshine producing glistening water drips from trees and roofs followed at intervals by white outs as showers of wet snow rush across the Meadows to become sloppy slush where the flakes land on paths; not exactly snowman building material although some children have managed to garner enough to make some mini men.
