High excitement next door

All week the tension has been mounting. Friday was the day that the neighbours' pig was going to be killed and delivered. Sure enough it has arrived and their day has been taken up with processing it - not helped by a wild boar making the mistake of getting to close to their car last night so adding to the mountain of meat.
We were invited around to taste the boudin freshly produced - the French equivalent of Black Pudding. Very good it was although probably not for the squeamish.
If that is not enough we are booked into the campsite restaurant for their menu de cochon. The pigs never had it so bad.
In the evening on to the Bar Communal to catch up with the local gossip - at least that of it which we could understand. Met for the first time the son of an acquaintance who lives in Brentwood of all places.
