Day 1

Today I brought my lovely Dad home from sister Sarah's house and left Mum there with Sarah's family.  First time they've been apart since Mum's progressing Alzheimers meant she got very much more anxious and dependent on him around 6 months ago.  

We've had a very relaxing day, reading the paper, dog walking and watching sport on the telly.  Sarah and Mum have been clothes shopping.

All is going well so far, I think Dad is enjoying having nothing to have to be responsible for.

We are all a little bit nervous about sleeping tonight, when my Mum will be without Dad, sleepily confused and possibly anxious.  All our fingers are crossed for it to be uneventful.
