Celtic Connections - Karen Matheson

Just back from another excellent event at the City Halls. A real treat to hear Karen, with twelve in her band. Ewan Vernal's double bass playing truly amazing. James Grant joined in too, with a few songs he had written. Waulking and love songs, lullabies and traditional mouth music - big cheers from the audience after each piece. Sarod player Soumik Datta, and Seckou Keita from Senegal on Kora added another dimension.
