Pink Daisy

....from one of my bouquets. Not much time to comment yesterday as my sister came down & spent much of the day here, then went to my retirement party with me. Most of my co-workers made it & we all had a great time--laughing over things that have happened at work over the years, all the changes that have occurred in nursing since a lot of us first started our careers, eating the wonderful food that everyone brought, putting away (a great deal of) the wine and the beer that was there--just an all around fun time! 
 I've spent today putting things in order around the house & packing, as I'm flying down to Houston tomorrow to spend some time with my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. Tom isn't going this time, & I think it's a good thing as he has a terrible cold & cough & hasn't felt well in a few days--it's really knocked him out!  Originally I was leaving on Tuesday, but there's a huge snowstorm (2-3 feet of snow predicted) moving toward the central and Midwestern states--supposed to hit us on Tuesday & I didn't want to be stranded at O'Hare, so I changed my flight to Monday! That way I'll  be in the sun and 70 degree temperatures of Texas when it starts!   :))
I'm not sure how much I'll be blipping while I'm gone, but if I can, I will, & otherwise I'll catch up when I get back!
