Operation CleanSweep

After a drydock period, it is hard to believe how dirty a ship can be. Because of the predicted weather, everybody was focussed on securing and seafastening all loose items and putting all new requisition items on its designated place as soon as possible after departure. That is done now and now we can concentrate on cleaning the vessel outside. Normally, the bosun and his A/B's can do this easily within eight hours, but not this time. This morning they started eight o'clock for the second consecutive cleaning day. Operation CleanSweep will be hopefully finished today. Because of our Noonposition longitude laying much more to the West than last week, it is almost completely dark at eight. Normally you change one hour timezone every 15 degrees in longitude, but our destination has the same timezone as Rotterdam, so why bother about cleaning in the dark with the aid of the searchlights?
