Hopeton01 - Fetlocks & Folly
Cutting through the nearby field on my bike cuts 20 minutes off the time it takes to ride to the town centre.
It's lovely having green space nearby that we can meander through and connect with. The adjoining field has 6-7 horses which are always peaceful and docile, yet seem to yearn more attention from us passers-by. They are safe from traffic and other external harms in there. The gate between the fields is spring with a very strong, secure coiling mechanism which ensures it shuts itself.
Yesterday, I was surprised, as I approached, to find all the horses wandering in the wrong field and potentially exposed to all manner of dangers. It's not clear who the owner is - the horses are just left to their own devices day after day. They don't look emaciated but they do look somewhat unkempt and have a wary, forlorn look in their eyes. They almost seem sad . . .
. . . . it's this look I've tried to capture in today's Blips . . .
