MonoMonday: Lux - Drawing with light...
The word "photography" was created from the Greek roots φωτός (phōtos), genitive of φῶς (phōs), "light"nd γραφή (graphé) "representation by means of lines" or "drawing", together meaning "drawing with light".
I went into town today to try to get some shots for Blip (see, it's getting me out the house!). Took numerous photos of lights, both on and off. Lights on motorcylces, lights on walls, fancy lights, bright lights, pretty lights.
But decided on this photo. These cameras were on display in a very mucky window of a store that had tons and tons of old cameras. It had closed down and they were sitting forlornly in the window.
I looked through the window and there were more inside, some much older and all abandoned. They have had their time, but now the future is not so bright.
The extra is the one I nearly put up. Hummed and hawed before deciding on the cameras shot. (My first extra BTW).
Thanks to Mrs Linda for hosting today's MM.
