Culloden

Today has been crazy!  We were booked on the 1:30 train from Kyle to Inverness.  Checked status this morning and it was cancelled due to impending high winds etc.  Booked us on the noon train.  Later in the morning check that one just to be sure and it has disruption due to flooding!  It's almost 10am and we need to be in Kyle at 10:25 to get the bus!  Good thing we were packed and ready to go.  

Got a bus to Invergerry were we changed and got another bus to Inverness. (extra 1)  We made it, thankfully.  We are spending the night at Culloden House (extra 2) which is gorgeous and the staff are lovely.  The room is great (extra 3) They have a wonderful walled garden that even at this time of year is pretty (extra 4)

Before leaving this morning, Padraig was making her feelings about my impending departure known. (extra 5)   This is the crazy scarf that I knitted while here on this trip.  (extra 6)  And this is the great reversible wool jacket that I bought with my Christmas money. (extra 7)  With it unlined it is light enough that it will be great for NC winters.

It will be an early night as we have a very early start tomorrow
