Comet and see me sometime....

There was an eerie glow in the sky this afternoon, just after 5pm.

As one, the locum and I went outside. We stood in the rain, gazing upwards, wondering if the world had finally come to an end. We discussed the Hadron Collider...the Higgs Boson....meteors and comets....and we looked in awe at the heavens, trying to work out exactly what shade of glorious they actually were....

Then one of our customers arrived, called us a couple of twats, and enquired as to whether we intended 'to give him his feckin' methadone this week or next'.

The sky darkened, and normality was restored.
