Waiting

My first visit to the Ear, Nose and Throat Out Patients Department at the local hospital, for my six monthly appointment with the Oncologist. The hospital has had millions of pounds spent on it but this department was in ancient pre fabs, really dispiriting to visit, especially for a 45 minute wait. Parts of the Cancer Unit have been done up and there is an effort to make the surroundings pleasant.
However, the Oncologist had good news that there was no cancer marker, yee hah!
The rest of the day has been a bit of a blur, I think, numb.
