Pancake festival

Every year the local Kiwanis Club holds a Pancake Festival...it is one thing we have done here since we first moved and some friends gave us free tickets to attend, so it feels like a family tradition.  We usually follow up with a stroll along the river that runs behind the Ag center where the festival is held.
The pancake flippers are always fun and cheerful, this chap was particularly noticeable in his Cat in the Hat hat...so I bravely (for me) asked him if I could snap a pic.
On our walk we noticed lots of evidence that Beavers had been at work, I will try to post in the extra's...Beautiful sunny day with hardly any wind, perfect for a stroll, just wish everything wasn't so brown at this time of year.
