Heaven is a Half Pipe

Evening all.

A quiet day at work today.

After all the bombing around of the last two work days, a day in the office was called for.
Not that i actually achieved that much, but at least i was there!

I saw this skateboard lying forgotten and abandoned outside a tight row of terraces whilst i was parking the car, so thought i'd have a snap at it inbetween the showers.

In this world of technology it seemed somehow comforting to see an abandoned toy outside a house, something solid and robust that could withstand the elements and just be picked up, wiped down, and played with.

I never quite got the hang of skateboarding as a yoof, there seemed a lot of effort for not much show apart from bandaged knees and bloodied knuckles, and i could never work out where to find the brake.

Mind you, skateboards are also useful if you're trying to move a chicken coop from one side of Crane moor to the other, with no other help than an ageing in-law....what a day that was!!
