Springtime welcome
Just a splash of colour on the road to Canada as Spring daffodils decide they will arrive early.
This is the home community adjoining Wellow village in Hampshire, far from the transAtlantic territory.
And also where in the last few days the roadside daffodils have burst into colour.
The community falls within the New Forest National Park and is little more than two roads, a few homes, a pub and two churches. Oh yes, and a huge expanse of common land which is a local beauty spot and a favoured walking area for those simply exercising and taking in the country air, as well as dog walkers.
It’s often here too that visitors to the area will have their first experience of roaming New Forest ponies and cattle.
This week however, while the daffodils are out it's mother nature herself bursting into a Springtime pride, providing the colourful welcome to Canada.
