Chicory
It was another scorcher of a day, with the temperature reaching 34 degrees C this afternoon. The heat was so unbearable - it was nice to come home after work to a cool air conditioned house.
After tea tonight, when the sun was going down, we took the dogs for a walk on the farm. It was lovely to be out in the 'cooler' evening. I say cooler as the temperature was still 26 degrees when we were out - and here it is 10.10pm, and it's still 22 degrees. It's going to be so hard sleeping in this heat tonight.
On our walk, we went through our chicory paddock, so I stopped and took a photo. The cows love it. We're onto our 4th grazing of this crop - and as long as we have ideal growing conditions, like we have been having, it will keep regrowing.
