Changing weather

After a serious (and looks like successful) attempt to buy wonderful tickets for the 2016/2017 Barbican Classical series, I headed out to catch the sun between the showers at Packwood House.

I love this National Trust property - and today it was so, so quiet. To be honest, the gardens were all neat and tidy ready for the winter, so, apart from snowdrops and hellebores, there was none of the usual drama.

But who needs botanic drama when the sun comes in and out from the clouds and casts an eerie and rich light across the surroundings.

And even better without the crowds.
