Happy memories
An early start (sorry Dad) to drive to Mndavu dam for breakfast. Just lovely, and a trip down memory lane for the husband. We had a great start to game viewing at the dam as we saw endless crocodiles and several hippo’s. It’s a pretty good start to the day, sipping your morning coffee and having a bite to eat watching the goings-on in the pan.
A special treat was the running water at the camp area of the dam. We had woken up to find a distinct lack of this in the lodge. This is not good. Fortunatly, it was sorted by the time we returned to the lodge for a quick pack-up before heading off to Victoria Falls.
Arriving in the Falls, we were treated to a tropical storm of somewhat epic proportions. It was just wonderful, for being rain, but also for being so big and quite maginifant.
Dad kindly offered to take everyone out for dinner – brilliant! The child had differing opinions having come up with a terrible case of nappy rash (therefore tears and general unhappiness). Taking him out was turning into a very bad idea, so dinner out became a take-away, which was utterly delicious.
