A cup of tea anyone?

Mum had a thing about drinking tea from a nice china cup and I can see where she was coming from.

I prefer a china mug but think I will keep some of these quaint cups and saucers for the older ladies who come for afternoon tea as part of the Contact ther Elderly tea parties we take part in every now and again.

A local volunteer organiser matches the ladies with drivers and hosts to enable them to enjoy a tea party once a month in their local area.

It is such a simple idea but so effective-loneliness is a real problem for many people and the parties are such fun.

J made one of the ladies titter last time by encouraging her to bring her costume next time for a dip in the hot tub.
She's 99 but I wouldn't put it past her!
