A surprise snowfall

Although the weather did report some snow in the forecast, I wasn't quite expecting it to be this much snow.
It was really beautiful too because there was no wind and this meant there was snow on every single twig and branch. Everywhere you looked it reminded you of a winter wonderland .

Later in the day the sun came out and made everything glisten. The grandchildren were outside playing in it for a good long time and then it was back inside for some well deserved hot cocoa .
