More Cool Clutter
Today Arvin woke with a cold so he stayed home. We found ways to entertain ourselves. I cancelled his group and the WTA and we looked at photo books and watched a movie that arrived yesterday from Netflix. It was "A Boy's Life" and neither of us had seen it before. It was Leonard DiCaprio's big break and the whole cast was excellent. And a big part of the movie took place in Concrete, WA, not all that far from here. It turned into a good day. We cancelled our plans for tomorrow. Couldn't see carrying a fresh cold to our friends in Canada. So we rescheduled.
The photo is the top of our record cabinet. We have lots of platters. Some are from our past and some Arvin collected. He used to listen to them on a record player but now he can't figure out how to play them. I play music but it is usually from CD or Internet radio.
The sculpture of the large clay head is the result of a sculpture class at the community college that I took from my teacher Trish. I chose to do Arvin. We did them in two consecutive days. it was a kick and I was surprised at the likeness. His shoulders are a bit too broad but it is still a pretty good likeness.
