Dialects
Just been in Belgium. I knew there were two languages in use there, Flemish in the North and French in the South.
Turns out this is only half the story, 20% of the population have German as their first language [they live along the German border] and in the South they also have a dialect 'Wallon'.
Wallon is being used less and less apparently, but opposite the hotel I spotted the two versions of the street name, Wallon is the one above the French version.
The street name itself is unusual, literally translated it is Road [or Path] Street.
