Post Polio Syndrome

This morning Rotary helped organise a seminar for health professionals on Post Polio Syndrome.

60 years after the polio epidemics of the first half of the 20th century, many survivors are experiencing a return of some of the symptoms.
Similar to and frequently confused with the effects of ageing it is often not recognised.

Polio Australia in conjunction with Rotary (whose major project world wide, in partnership with Bill Gates, is polio eradication) is endeavouring to raise awareness and advise on the management of this disability.
