A bit of colour on a grey day

It has rained non stop all day today, from the minute we got up and it's still going now :-(

Other than a drive to,the farm shop for potatoes, veggies, flowers, eggs and a stop off on the way home for a newspaper, we haven't set foot outside all day. Saturday is eggs and soldiers day for lunch.

So it's been another day of chores, steam cleaned the tiled floors in kitchen, bathroom, en suite and downstairs cloak.......downstairs dusted and vacuumed, hub has done his share too, you'll be pleased to hear ;-)

Chinese for dinner, stir fried chicken and prawns in a spicy sauce, with home made egg fried rice, with peas and spring onions. Oh, that reminds me, must go and get the piece of beef out of the freezer for tomorrow :-)

I cleaned some of my jewellery this afternoon, then had a play around with a torch, some black velvet, flash and mini tripod. I liked this image of my opal bangle best as all those colours are clearly visible.

If you regularly follow my journal, you might recall reading about this bangle. I was told to take it off before I went through the scanner at an airport, first time in all the years I've worn it, and Sod's law, it became tangled around my camera strap and as I lifted the camera out of the tray, my bangle fell and landed face down on the marble tiles. A shard shattered off one of the opals, you can see which one, if you look closely. I've had a quote to replace it.....£260! I don't really want to make an insurance claim. You can't notice it really, so I'm undecided at the mo!!

We are watching the rugby just now, but shortly will turn over to watch hubs footy team as they play West Ham!

Really hope this weather bucks it's ideas up very soon, sooooo fed up with it!!
