After the flood

Had a lovely relaxed day today.  It was a bit rainy, though not too bad, and we just had a good old wander around Keswick.  Popped out a few times - once to go to a couple of shops, once for a walk round to look at all the damage and clean-up post-flooding, and again to go and look at a house we'd looked at on Rightmove (from the outside only, although we really are starting to get more serious about moving up here at some point) - and to check out a few other streets, too.

Had a walk along the river and saw a lot of the aftermath from the flood - including a steel bridge and its massive concrete foundations which had been completely ripped out and swept aside.  Not entirely sure what this pile of steel came from, but perhaps another bridge or a balcony or something?  Good to see all the clean-up operation in progress though. 

Tim cooked us a big chilli early evening, and we got all cosy and spent the evening chilling out in front of the TV :)
