inspired by the bus into town

Every half hour throughout the day we can walk out of our Crescent, round the corner and catch a bus into town. Ten minutes later we can be in the library changing our library book or in the local supermarket buying bread, milk and vegetables. If we are quick, we can catch the next bus and be back home in just about an hour from when we left. Or, we can linger longer and enjoy a cup of coffee by the riverside or catch up with Friends at the Meeting Place Cafe.

We have made such good use of our bus pass since we have moved to Kendal. It gives us a sense of freedom, saves petrol and keeps one more car off the road. For us, it's a luxury. For others, it's more of a necessity. We do hope this service continues.
