Dancing March Hares!
Sophie Ryder's sculptures currently adorn the areas around Salisbury Cathedral, from the giant to these fun Spring-like dancing hares and their shadows. Those shadows look more like boxing kangaroos to me!
When I much later went grocery shopping, I saw the font cover of Salisbury Journal which had such a so-boringly awful banal washed out colour view of these that I almost cried! (OK, perhaps not quite)...
I hope that their spring like joy puts a spring in your steps today! I like to think that the black and white adds a mysterious Alice in Wonderland feel to it, whilst also allowing me to control contrast, shadow and detail in different parts to make for a more coherent whole.
After the Cathedral Close, I went to a Salisbury Park next to the River Avon, where I was to be subjected to a deluge of a shower of hail and then sunset. But you've all seen lots of sunset pictures over rivers, now, haven't you...
