Snow Down Under

500 IN MY GARDEN:

I know this is peanuts compared to you long term blippers, but I'm pretty happy with my effort. And thank you Blip for reminding me. I've tried to cover Clematis, Heathers, Hydrangeas, Lilies, Geraniums, blue pots and maples. The only thing missing are the Rhododendrons. And I have NEVER blipped out of the garden !

Many thanks to the Cycling Granny for telling us a couple of days ago to google the International Space Station; I did yesterday & this morning I set my alarm for 5.37am; jumped out of bed, & for 3 minutes watched the Space Station overhead. My mind boggles at the logistics of putting 3 men up there, gliding across the Heavens like a very bright star. I'd read previously, this mission is the first to flower a plant in space......a humble Zinnia. Someone's bound to jump on the band wagon & rename them Space Flowers.
Seeing the Space Station this morning, reminded me of the time in July, 1980, when I was privileged to fly Concorde from London to New York. Flying at 55.000ft you can actually see the curve of the earth. That was an exhilarating, eerie experience. Then I went down to the Smithsonian Space Centre in Washington D. C. & marvelled at one of the early Space Shuttles. They were so small & cramped it was unbelievable.

Thank you to all you kind, wonderful, blippers who have given me stars & hearts & encouraged me to go on. If it wasn't for the 4 seasons, my blips would be very repetitious, but you're much to polite to say so ! Bless you all.
