Tulips and flowering redcurrant
It was a glorious day. It started off frosty with crystals of ice on the grass and a splash of hot water on the car windscreen to improve visibility before the morning run to the college bus in Cromer. I seem to recall I was waxing lyrical about ice crystals and speculating aloud about how extraordinary it was that water held the template within it to form hexagonal crystal patterns on freezing. Just the sort of stuff to regale a teenage daughter with as she is adjusting her make up, checking a mobile phone for texts and trying to roll a cigarette at the same time...
It has been busy but productive. In a gap between bits of work I managed to get British Telecom to help resolve the router problem which prevented me getting online yesterday.
I have just been listening to a news item about the detection of gravitational waves in space which was posited by Einstein about a hundred years ago, and which they only now have the technology to actually detect. Extraordinary!
