Brigflatts Meeting House

Today's the day ......................... to wear purple

It would have been the 70th birthday today of my friend Janet - but instead, there was a Celebration of her Life at the lovely little Quaker Meeting House at Brigflatts near Sedbergh. 

There were a lot of people there - friends and family - all come to remember her and pay tribute to the many ways that she had affected us.  Quaker meetings are a time of silent reflection but anyone can speak if they feel they have something they would like to say.  Several people did - and it was a very moving experience.

The only request made of those attending was that they should wear something purple - Jan's favourite colour.  As it's also mine, it presented me with no problem at all .....................
